This one was a mistake; not for lack of productivity though. As a food processor it works fantastically. The attachment is FAR too LOUD. As written previously by another reviewer, I don't know who could stomach the unit running on Speed 12! I can barely go past 4 or 5. I have only used this attachment once because of the noise - it is the most ear shattering racket you will ever hear.I decided to purchase a dedicated food processor appliance and use my mixer solely for mixing, pasta making and blending (I received the blender attachment free, but have yet to use it - hopefully it's quieter, but it uses the same power port as the food processor). If I had paid for it, I'm not sure that I would have kept it. The stand mixer is a 5 star product - I love it! The processor attachment has some "issues". It only functions well at the highest speed setting which is not made clear enough in the instructions. Once I figured that out, I had much better luck. It is very convenient for small jobs and does a reasonable job of grinding, but it will definitely not replace a full-size processor, the bowl is small. I didn't have much luck slicing some vegetables which is smashed rather than sliced, but I tried that in the very beginning before I realized that it needed to be set at the highest speed. Will have to try that again.It's biggest problem is noise. It is loud - I mean loud - I mean hold your hands over your ears to prevent deafness loud.
