I caution EVERYONE to stay as far away from this as they can. I bought it, used it to slice cheese and the motor literally stopped, even on the highest speed. It has a variable control speed dial and if you put it on the lowest setting it can go, it sounds like something is caught up in the blade and the engine is going to catch on fire--and that's without trying to cut anything.I'm not kidding, this is a terrible product. I hope someone else doesn't make the mistake I did. Fortunately I was lucky in that the seller decided to give me my money back (I still had to pay for shipping to and from the seller which came to $30). At the time, I couldn't find any reviews for this product and I thought they couldn't possibly screw something like that up...at least for what I wanted to use it for.
